To determine transformer size, add the wattage of all of the lights you intend to purchase and then choose a transformer whose output is equal to or greater than the total watts of your lights. 12 Gauge cable is recommended for use with 150 Watt, 250 Watt and 500 Watt transformers. 16 Gauge cable is recommended for use with the 108 watt transformer. The maximum recommended run of 12 volt cable is 150 feet. The maximum recommended run of 16 gauge cable is 100 feet. |
