Jungle Labs pH Increase

Raises the pH of pond water and is useful in areas where acid rainfall is a problem. Also good to use when water runs through a water softener.

Details: Does not affect the iron and won't soften water. Add in small amounts to gradually bring water to desired level. Take another pH reading before adding additional Pond pH Increaser. Do not increase the pH more than .5 every 24 hours. Rainfall, water run-off, fish excretion, dead vegetation, rocks and other foreign materials may cause pH changes. The pH level should be tested weekly. If pH drops below 6.5, the biological filter's efficiency will be reduced or shut down. This will result in ammonia buildup which is toxic to fish.

It could take four cups or more of buffer for yours to hold the same pH. Depending on dosage, Buff-it-Up raises the pH and buffers between 7.4 and 7.8. It is gentle, safe, and enhances the freshwater environment.

Directions: If you total alkalinity is below 120 ppm, add one measuring cup of Buff-it-Up per 2,000 gallons of water, or one tablespoon per 300 gallons and recheck total alkalinity 2 hours later. An ideal total alkalinity would be 120-240 ppm.

Directions For Use:
To fully condition water for (1) new aquariums or ponds (2) after or during water additions, or (3) before adding new fishes, amphibians, invertebrates or plants, add 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) of Ultimate® per 10 gallons of water.
