Today we’re going to review Biological Mosquito Control from Microbe-Lift.
With the advent of the Zika and West Nile Virus, mosquito control has become extremely crucial.
A safe, nontoxic way of controlling these pests is through the use of Microbe-Lift Biological Mosquito Control, or BMC for short.
BMC kills developing mosquitoes before they become breeding, biting adults.
Another option is leaf netting. Yes, it can be mildly unsightly, BUT so is a pond with no fish. Ultimately, netting is the most fool proof method of protection.
The way it works is – the viscous liquid contains BTI bacteria. These BTI bacteria produce microscopic "sugar cubes"; which are a delicacy for mosquito larvae. It is only through ingestion of these cubes that the larvae die. The adults are not affected and nothing else in the environment will ever be affected by these BTI bacteria. Even if the fish eat the larvae that have ingested the cubes, the fish will not be harmed.
Available in 4 different sizes - from 2 oz. up to 2.5 gallons. One teaspoon can actually treat up to 540 square feet of water. After application, it will remain active for 14 days.
With no toxicity to people, pets, fish, plants or wildlife - It is truly a biological and safe mosquito control treatment.
