The BioSteps Plus Kit is the basic model. This basic kit comes complete with the new BioSteps 10 Filter, Magna-Flow submersible pump, 25 ft of 3/4" kink-free hose and all connectors to make installation quick and easy!. But, you also have the option to add on the 16 watt EZClear UV Clarifier or the optional Waterfall Spillway to your basic BioSteps Plus Kit. With 4 options of kits to choose from you're bound to find one that fits your needs.

These Matala Magna-Flow high quality and affordable Mag-Drive style submersible pond pumps are available in 4 sizes with flow rates of 600, 750, 1100 and 1350 gph and are perfect for small water features. The two larger models will include the new EZ Bio11 Plus Prefilter and Flow Control Valve and are great for small waterfalls! The EZ Bio11 Plus Prefilter will protect and enhance the performance of the Magna-Flow pumps.

Matala Pond UV Clarifiers are designed for Koi ponds and water gardens to help suppress blooms of green water algae, harmful bacteria, parasites, protozoan and viruses. Even in a balanced pond ecosystem, sudden blooms of such organisms can occur due to abnormal changes of weather, fish feeding behavior, mineral nutrient levels, etc. Supplied with high quality Phillips lamps which are considered the best ultraviolet lamps in the world. 

If your UV Clarifier is appropriately sized, expect water clarity within 14 days. Note that string algae on the waterfall, in the pond, and on the sides won't be impacted by the UV light. This is typical for ponds, as the UV only targets single-celled algae that can pass through the unit. Keep in mind, your pond might retain a greenish tint unless you have at least 50% plant coverage or your pond is in partial shade.

Matala Air Disc Diffusers are available in 3", 7", 9" and 12" diameter sizes. Made of high quality EPDM rubber for use in water gardens, aquaculture and waste water treatment industries. Precision perforated I-shaped slits open when airflow is present and close when airflow is stopped, which increases durability and longevity, as well as cleanliness.  These diffusers offer the lowest back pressure in the market.

MD-3W and MD-7W have weighted bases. MDB11 and MDB22 features a hollow base that can be filled with sand or gravel.

These discs are very low maintenance and in some cases no maintenance. Simply wash the disc with clean water and bleach if it ever needs cleaning.

Matala Heavy Duty Air Manifolds are built tough. Heavy brass construction for dependable use. The manifolds are available in 2-way or 4-way. The inlet barb which connects to the air pump is a 3/4" barb. The outlet barbs are available in 3/8", 1/2" or 5/8".

Pump Defenders are designed to protect your submersible water pumps from clogging with debris. The pump sits inside a basket of green medium density Matala media and then wrapped in a nylon bag with drawstring. Heavy debris is filtered out before it reaches the intake of the pump, thereby reducing maintenance and extending the life of the pump.

The Matala rocking piston compressor with heavy duty cabinet is ideal for ponds and lakes from 1/4 - 4 acres. The locking cabinet is landscape green color and designed for outdoor extreme weather conditions. The cabinet stands on a solid support base to maintain a level installation. Within the cabinet you'll find a cooling fan with cross flow ventilation. The compressor plugs into a built in outlet. All components are protected within. The heat protection hose leads externally and all you have to do is connect your air hose. Very simple to install and operate. The cabinet should be located above pond water level and flood zone and within 50 feet of the shore. Do not bury.

Matala Geyser Hi-Flow Pumps are ideal for large waterfalls, fountains and water features that require high flows. A slim upright design makes for a perfect fit in skimmers and pondless waterfall vaults. A built-in thermal overload protects the motor from overheating. These are submersible high flow rate pumps and require adequate water depth with unhampered flow to the pump. Water depth should be at least 26" deep at all times.

Geyser Hi-Flow Pumps require a minimum of 15 feet of head pressure to avoid cavitation and amp overload. Water depth should be at least 26" deep at all times. Pump must be submerged at all times.

The Matala Geyser Max-Flow submersible pump is great for all kinds of applications in skimmer boxes, pondless waterfall vaults or just drop in the bottom of the pond or fountain. Perfect to power waterfalls or a variety of decorative features. Geyser Max-Flow pumps were specially designed with a composite resin base for high performance and low amps. Featuring a built in thermal overload protection and designed for 24 hour continuous use. These pumps are great at pushing high volumes of water at low heads. A slotted bottom prefilter protects the impeller.

The Matala Versiflow is a high flow multi-purpose versatile pump. The Versiflow can be installed vertically or horizontally, are fully submersible and handle solids like a champ. They are excellent for heavy and continuous flow for waterfalls, filters, fountains, and water features. Ideal for use in skimmers, pondless waterfall vaults or directly inside the pond. Matala Hakko Air Tube Diffusers are designed to be a drop-in system. The rubber membrane is wrapped around a hollow PVC tube. The air holes are a little larger than other brands, so you get medium-sized bubbles which do not clog and put very little back-pressure on your system. This means very low maintenance and effective aeration system.

Can be filled with rocks or gravel in order to be weighted down.

Matala high-quality fountain can be used in ponds, lakes or retention ponds. It sprays water up to 9.8 ft (depends on different fountain head) into the air. The compact design houses a powerful 2,860 GPH pump that sits low in the water. Simply anchor the fountain and plug it in! Fountain kit includes pump, float and 1-1/2" nozzle.
