All DAF models incorporate a slow speed increase (slow spool up) so that there is no sudden pressure or flow hazard for fish. The two brands now available are the Neptune, manufactured by US Motors, or the V-Green, manufactured by Century. Both brands are available in 1.6HP and 2.7HP. Model numbers including “N” use the Neptune/US Motors. Model numbers including “R” use the V-Green/Century motor. These pumps are molded of corrosion-resistant polypropylene, and an easy-open transparent lid provides easy access to the integrated strainer basket.

A strainer pot may be attached to facilitate priming in a suction lift application and to strain debris from the inflow.
