How to pick the right UV (no guessing)

The Ultima II Filters are designed for high flow rates, extreme loads and elevated rates. Supports aquatic life in aquaculture facilities, backyard ponds or large aquarium systems - essential to remove both ammonia and accumulated debris from 500 - 60,000 gallon applications.

The Viper Series UV Clarifiers/Sterilizers are a perfect chemical-free UV light water treatment solution for professional applications. Using the same germicidal rays as the sun, but hundreds of times stronger, ultraviolet water filters offer a reliable, cost effective, environmentally friendly alternative to chemicals and their resulting bi-products.
The Viper Series UV are ideal for large commercial or residential ponds, aquariums, and water features. The specially designed lamps disinfect faster and have greater cell penetration capability. The compact body design of the ultraviolet water filters have a small footprint making it easy to handle, install and maintain. Vipers are engineered to accommodate extreme flow rates. A provided flow switch shuts the unit off if flows fall below 95 GPM.

What does a UV sterilizer do for a pond?
UV is best for “green water” caused by free‑floating algae. Water passes by the UV lamp, and the algae can’t keep growing. UV does not remove leaves, sludge, or string algae—your filter does that job.
How to pick the right UV (no guessing)
- Pond size: bigger ponds usually need more UV power.
- Flow rate: water must move through UV at the right speed to work well.
