The Model 8000 - Model 2.2B filtration system is an excellent choice for a bead filtration system for larger ponds up to 8,000 gallons. The Model AD8000 far exceeds the performance of most all competitive filtration units in it's class. The 8000 is easily the most popular Aquadyne filter produced. 

This filter includes the Dynamax air assisted backwash which makes this model extremely efficient in all ranges of waste loading. This unit will efficiently filter 8000 gallons of water with up to 165 pounds of fish or other aquatic inhabitants. Even under the heaviest of waste loading, the Dynamax will break up a loaded media bed with ease. The larger media bed is very forgiving of neglect. You can backwash the Model 8000 with as little as 50 gallons of water.

The Aquadyne 4000 - Model 1.1B filtration system is the most efficient and most maintenance free system ever introduced to the industry in such a small package. Just check the performance data list in this listing. The AD4000 can also be used with submersible pumps with ease.

The Dynamax blower aggressively agitates the debris collected in the media bed and suspends it in the water column which is easily backwashed to waste. With the blower this unit will use about 30 gallons per backwash. The Model AD4000 will support up to 85 pounds of fish while feeding once per day. The AD4000 is excellently suited for medium to moderately sized indoor large volume aquariums or more heavily stocked laboratory research applications. Also works exceptionally well for medium to moderately sized aquatic environments for alternative species exhibits. High quality quick disconnect unions are included.

The Model AD16000 - Model 4.4C filtration system includes a 2" High efficiency Control Head with 2" ports in/out, with 3 ea. 2" self-sealing unions included. The Model 16000 is used in water features ranging from very large backyard lawnscapes to fisheries, to public aquariums, and the most discriminating laboratory applications. The AD16000 is capable of consuming large amounts of fish waste and neutralizing equally large amounts of ammonia and nitrite from the aquatic environment. The model 16,000 will support up to 330 pounds of fish or other aquatic life in up to 16,000 gallons of water, separating and backwashing huge amounts of solid particulate waste without clogging. 

The Dynamax air assisted backwash makes this model extremely efficient in all ranges of waste loading. The high efficiency central diffuser column allows an efficient water flow of up to 6,000 GPH (and maybe a little more) without sacrificing filtration efficiency. As with all other Aquadyne filters the 16,000 comes standard with the Dynamax air assisted backwash system.

The Model AD8000HE - Model 2.2BHE filtration system includes a 2" High Efficiency Control Head with 2" plumbing in/out. This is the same control head and column as used in the Model 16000. The only difference is that the column is shorter in length, while maintaining the flow efficiency of the 16000. This additional efficiency allows an improvement in water flow by about 15% - 20% with low head, high efficiency pumps. 

As with the standard 8000 this model includes the Dynamax air assisted backwash which makes this model extremely efficient in all ranges of waste loading. This unit will efficiently filter 8000 gallons of water with up to 165 pounds of fish or other aquatic inhabitants. Even under the heaviest of waste loading, the Dynamax will break up a loaded media bed with ease. The larger media bed is very forgiving of neglect. You can backwash the Model 8000HE with as little as 50 gallons of water. In an 8000 gallon pond you will hardly even notice a water loss.

The Aquadyne AD30000 - Model 8.8C filtration system is without doubt the most superior of all bead filters in its class. Boasting worry free maintenance on ponds up to 30,000 gallons. It moves filtration well into the commercial category, supporting extremely high pond or fish run water capacities with very heavy fish loads.

This model includes the Dynamax air assisted backwash which makes this model extremely efficient in all ranges of waste loading. This unit will efficiently filter 30,000 gallons of water with up to 660 pounds of fish or other aquatic inhabitants. Even under the heaviest of waste loading, the Dynamax will break up a loaded media bed with ease. Easily suited for applications where high volume ponds, research applications, or aquariums need to have exceptional performance under the most abusive aquatic circumstances without breaking the bank. The large media bed allows for an excessive accumulation of beneficial bacteria to consume very high amounts of ammonia and nitrite.

The Aquadyne Retrofit Bottom Drain is a stable and rugged over the liner bottom drain for those who do not want to install a drain through a liner, or for pre-constructed ponds that do not have a bottom drain. This drain is especially useful for pond and aquatic environments that have pre-existing liner, concrete, or any other situation that would not allow underground plumbing to be installed.

Simply fill the ballast area of the drain with small stone, sand, or other heavy inert material. Then attach a suction hose or rigid plumbing to the side port of the drain and attach to the pump suction line. Place the drain in the center or the deepest part of the pond so that the pump can easily suck up suspended solids and debris from the bottom of the pond. During the winter months, the drain can be easily moved to a more shallow part of the pond leaving the warmer water in the lower parts of the pond undisturbed where the fish collect in colder temperatures.

Rhino Retro Drains with Air Diffusers allow you to easily add much needed air circulation to ponds that increase oxygenation in hot weather and also create a sediment sweeping action due to the rising of thousands of air bubbles per second which adds circulation to the pond and helps keep the bottom of the pond cleaner.

From time to time (rarely) beads require replacement. Especially true if you accidentally let beads out of your sludge valve on the bottom. These are the same beads as specified for your Aquadyne filter.
