To support aquatic life, every pond will require some level of filtration. There are mainly two types- mechanical and biological. Through both forms, the pond will process a variety of nutrients in the pond, including fish waste, uneaten fish food and accumulated debris. Whether choosing from an external or submersible, pressurized or gravity fed system- selecting the right filter for your pond should not be underestimated.
With a pressurized filter, water from the pond is pumped into the filter where it exits under pressure. These units can be installed anywhere around the pond and can be buried for easy concealment. Most have backwash capabilities making cleaning a breeze. Most come with integrated UV clarifiers.
These kits take the guesswork out of selecting the correct pump and filtration combination for new or existing ponds. Buying a filtration kit is simple and provides the best overall value.
These systems are designed to run with external pumps and ponds with high fish loads. Patented media supports bacterial growth while backwash systems separate the waste from the media sending it out the waste line.
Nice for smaller ponds where external filtration is not an option. These units generally incorporate filter pads where the flow is often run to a fountain head or small waterfall. Submersible filters are also available as all-in-one kits, including pump and sometimes UV clarifier.
Waterfall Filters or, Bio-filters, are generally installed at the top of a waterfall, these are some of the most cost effective and low maintenance systems available. Water from the pond is pumped into the filter via a pump. The water then flows through the filter overflowing from a spillway and eventually returning to the pond via gravity. Waterfall filters can accept substantial flowrates, house a variety of filtration media, and can be buried.
Some of the most cost effective and low maintenance systems available. Water from the pond is pumped to the filter where it then flows through the filter- overflowing and returning to the pond via gravity. These filters must be kept above the pond- usually installed at the beginnings of waterfalls.
If you're looking for mechanical or biological filtration media, you'll find it here. We even carry large filter mat sheets and rolls you can cut at home.

Aquascape professional grade Bio-Falls Filters provide the most filtration and highest water flows in the market. Made from durable rotational molded polyethylene ensuring maximum strength. Biological filters are positioned to create the beginning of the waterfall in your pond. The filter uses bacteria to break down pond wastes, converting them into less harmful compounds that can be used as aquatic plant fertilizers. Water enters via flexible pipe located near the base of the unit. The water then flows from the bottom to the top, traveling through filter media housed inside the unit. The filter media helps with the removal of fine to medium-sized particles. As the filter fills, it overflows and cascades over its waterfall lip, cascading down rocks that have been set to create a waterfall. The waterfall creates aeration for your pond, assisting in the circulation and health of the water.

The FiltoClear pressure filter is a compact pressure filtration system with a patented Easy-Clean function. The FiltoClear system includes a built-in UV Clarifier with bypass for optimal efficiency at low power usage. The built-in cleaning mechanism makes filter maintenance possible in a matter of minutes. FiltoClear systems can be installed unobtrusively by burying up to 2/3 of the filter below ground.
Built in UV Clarifier: UV-Clarifier makes the FiltoClear Pressure Filter your all in one filtration solution. From the moment you add the filter to your pond the UV-Clarifier starts eliminating microscopic green algae (pea soup)
Pressurized Filtration: Pressurized filters allow for the use of waterfalls or watercourses in your backyard pond. This feature allows you to have all the necessary components for sustaining life in your pond while allowing you to use only one pond pump and filter to reach your waterfall.
Easy Cleaning: With a simple rotation of the cleaning switch and a few pulls on the cleaning handle will easily and effectively remove trapped debris inside the filter, without ever getting your hands dirty.
