CrystalClear ParaSalt

CrystalClear ParaSalt is formulated to increase koi and goldfish electrolytic intake. Electrolytes are critical in building and maintaining a healthy slime coat. Electrolytes such as potassium are essential in wound repair and in times of heavy stress (ie – during water changes or clean-outs). Salt is excellent for mucous production when healing from a wound.

ParaSalt will also help ward off and remove most common protozoan parasites found in koi and goldfish such as: Dactylogyrus, Byrodcytulus, Epistylis, Trichodina and Chilodonella. ParaSalt™ can be used in a salt bath for heavy infestations or as a routine treatment to keep parasites from entering the pond environment.

CrystalClear ParaSalt Application Rates
Pond Size (gallons) Dosage (In Ounces)
Up To 100 gallons 8 Ounces
Up To 200 gallons 16 Ounces
Up To 300 gallons 24 Ounces
Up To 400 gallons 32 Ounces

Routine Application Rate
Apply ParaSalt once a month at the prescribed rates above and after a water change, clean-out or during a seasonal change. Most pond fish stress during these times and need the electrolytes to assist in repairing their slime coating. Do not over apply ParaSalt and follow directions thoroughly for maximum affect.

Persistent Problem Application Rate
For salt baths, add 16 oz of ParaSalt for every 5 gallons of water in an isolated bath or quarantine tank. Placed infected fish in an aerated (use an air stone) bath for 5-10 minutes or until fish begins to turn over. Remove fish immediately if fish shows any signs of stress. After bath, immediately remove fish to a quarantine tank for 30 minutes and monitor fish closely. After 30 minutes the fish can be placed back into the pond. Make sure to acclimate the fish back into the pond water slowly by floating it in a bag of pond water in the pond so it can regulate its temperature and avoid shock. Do not over apply ParaSalt and follow directions thoroughly for maximum affect.

Microbe-Lift Pond Salt Crystals

Will help maintain a healthy pond environment and reduce the threat of parasitic disease in pond water.

Microbe-Lift Pond Salt Crystals added to your pond water can be effective in helping to maintain a healthy fish environment and, in proper dosages, has proven to be helpful in reducing the threat of parasitic infestations in the pond.

Microbe-Lift Pond Salt Crystals will temporarily block the toxic effects of nitrite, and by initiating the production of a thicker slime coat on the fish's body surface, helps to promote a stronger immune system and reduce stress.

Caution - Do not overdose. When adding salt to ponds that contain aquatic plants, be especially careful in monitoring salt concentration as salt can be a toxic effect on certain plants. Before adding salt to your pond, remove any zeolite products being used.

Directions - Salt will not evaporate from your pond. After testing your pond water with a hydrometer, you can add salt with your regular water changes. We recommend mixing salt and pond water in a bucket, and then spreading the slurry around the perimeter of your pond. Be careful to avoid direct contact with pond plants.

Microbe-Lift Pond Salt Crystals Dosage
For Small Ponds: ˝ (120g) per 10 gal. (38L) of pond water
For Large Ponds: 5 cups (1.13 kg) per 100 gal. (378L) of pond water
For Stress Reduction: Use Microbe-Lift Therapeutic Salt For Quarantine Tanks containing added electrolytes and Allantoin, which accelerates wound and fin healing.

Microbe-Lift Therapeutic Salt for Ponds & Quarantine Tanks
A Novel Blend Containing Pure Evaporated Sea Salt, Essential Electrolytes & Allantoin for Fish Health

Microbe-Lift/Therapeutic Salt For Ponds & Quarantine Tanks reduces the amount of energy a fish must expend to maintain osmotic balance, in fresh water fish, this energy can be substantial. If your fish is suffering as a result of a nitrite spike (a.k.a. Brown Blood Disease), ML/Therapeutic Salt For Quarantine Tanks acts to slow the rate of nitrite uptake - possibly the difference between survival and death, with electrolytes, minerals and Allantoin, which accelerates wound and fin healing, ML/Therapeutic Salt provides the necessary elements pond fish require to reduce stress and develop a healthy slime coat.

Caution

Be especially careful when adding any salt to tanks containing aquatic plants as salt can have a toxic effect. Before adding salt, remove any zeolite products. Fish emit excessive amounts of ammonia when salted, so test your water for ammonia spikes with Microbe-Lift/Ammonia Test Strips. Don't overdose.

  • Reduces fish stress & the risk of osmotic shock
  • Improves fish gill function
  • Temporarily blocks nitrite toxicity
  • Helps to promote slime coat

Top 3 Winter Tips For Your Pond

01/31/2019 11:47:03 AM: Ice Dams- if you choose to run your pump during the winter, and it's powering a waterfall, it's important to monitor for ice dams. These are ice accumulations that can occur at the base of your waterfall during freezing conditions. So, as the pump runs, water has the opportunity to roll over this ice and ultimately out of the pond. Draining your pond. Which, can cause fish loss and ultimately pump failure.

The Pond Insider - Filtration

01/22/2019 10:11:02 AM: Filtration is a key element to mostly every clear and healthy pond. When choosing a filter, it's best to decide based on pond size and fish load. Ponds with heavy fish loads will obviously have more debris, so with those ponds you will want to consider oversizing filtration. Remember, you can never have too much.
