This new cool water wheat diet provides improved digestibility at low temperatures, and high - fish cannot metabolize their food at these low and high water temperatures.This feed should be used when water temperatures are below 60 and above 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This food is available in the standard pellet only 3/16" size pellet.

In the cold weather of spring and fall, when the night-time temperature goes below 55°F but above 42°F, feed this cold weather formula. When the pond water's temperature drops, the fish require a highly digestible, cool-water diet. This cold water diet is made with lesser amounts of protein and contains wheat germ which is easily digested. This formula also contains a higher level of fats to prepare the fish for winter.

This floating food must have 70-80% floating to pass inspection. This is not a bad thing because there are always fish in the pond that can't compete with the others and will benefit from the pellets that sink.

Feeding Suggestions: When water temperature is consistently below 40°F degrees, stop feeding. Once water temperature is consistently above 40°F, but below 60°F, feed once daily. If water temperature is consistently above 60°F but below 70°F, two times daily during the warmest part of the day. When water temperature is consistently above 70°F, feed two to four times daily. Warmer temperatures bring more activity which requires more food. Please do not exceed the amount your fish will eat within three to five minutes of feeding. Remove all remaining food after the feeding period to avoid over-feeding and the water quality problems which can result from this action.
