Flexible PVC Pipe 2" x 50 ft.
This 2" x 50 ft flexible PVC pipe is a clean, kink-resistant way to route pond plumbing when rigid pipe would require multiple elbows. It glues into standard 2" Schedule 40 fittings, stays low-visibility underwater, and the black color helps limit algae growth inside the line by blocking sunlight.
- Size: 2" flexible PVC • 50 ft coil
- Fits: standard 2" Schedule 40 PVC fittings
- Color: black (low-visibility / helps reduce sunlight in the line)
- Rating: up to 50 PSI • fish safe
Compatibility & what to buy with it (tap to expand)
- Glue-fit connections: This flex PVC is designed to solvent-weld into standard 2" Schedule 40 PVC fittings (couplings, elbows, unions, valves).
- Barbed connections: If you are using barbed fittings, slide the tubing over the barb and secure with a stainless-steel hose clamp (or two clamps for higher-flow lines).
- Use with pond equipment: Great for plumbing between pumps, filters, waterfalls, and skimmers where you want sweeping turns to keep flow efficient.

Installation notes for better flow & fewer leaks (tap to expand)
- Straighten the coil: Lay it in the sun (or a warm room) before cutting so it relaxes and routes cleanly.
- Plan for sweeping bends: Gentle curves reduce friction loss compared to multiple tight elbows.
- Dry-fit first: Confirm lengths, alignment, and valve orientation before gluing.
- Glue joints correctly: Clean + dry the mating surfaces, then apply primer/cement as directed on the adhesive and fully seat the pipe into the fitting with a slight twist.
- Support long runs: Use straps/clamps so the line doesn't sag and stress fittings.
- Let it cure: Allow proper cure time before running the pump, especially on higher-pressure plumbing.

Flexible PVC Pipe FAQs (tap to expand)
Will this glue into standard 2" PVC fittings?
Yes—this flex PVC is made to solvent-weld into 2" Schedule 40 PVC fittings using PVC cement.
Can I use it underground?
Many pond installs do. Keep runs smooth, protect the pipe from sharp rocks, and support/bed the line so fittings aren't stressed.
Is black flex PVC better for ponds?
Black lines are less visible in the water and help limit sunlight inside the pipe, which can reduce algae growth in the plumbing.
Should I use hose clamps on glued joints?
No—clamps are for barbed fittings. Glued joints should be properly solvent-welded and allowed to cure.
Need help matching diameter to your pump?
Bigger plumbing usually means less friction loss. If you share your pump model, flow goal, and run length, a Pond Tech can recommend the best diameter and fittings.
