TULBAGHIA VIOLACEA (SOCIETY GARLIC) - Small heads of lilac-pink flowers on stalks that gently rise above blue-gray foliage. New growth has pink tinge in early spring. Gives garlic-like fragrance when bruised. The leaves can be used in cooking like garlic chives and the bulbs can be used like garlic. Grows up to 2 feet tall. Full sun or shade. Zone 7-10.
TULBAGHIA VIOLACEA 'VARIEGATA' (VARIEGATED SOCIETY GARLIC) - Large clusters of fragrant violet flowers rise up to 2 feet above the plant. Grass-like leaves are grayish-green in color. Plant has a strong smell of garlic when bruised or cut. Grows up to 1 foot tall.Zone 7.
